Today’s issue of the Financial Times includes a special report pull-out on Russia.  Page 4 in particular looks at the role that culture can play in diversifying a destination.  In the 1990’s, TRC Director Sandy Steven was interviewed on State television in Russia having given a series of talks outlining the emergence of the City of Glasgow on the international culture scene; Glasgow having successfully shed its previous industrious image of past generations.

It is great to see this message coming through and that Glasgow is being used as an exemplar of best practice, if not a little later than expected!
