North East England Forest-based Tourism - Kielder Partnership

TRC was commissioned to consider the opportunities for Forest Tourism in the North East Region by a steering group comprising the Kielder Partnership, Forestry Commission (FC), ConFor, One North East (ONE), Durham Tourism Partnership, Northumberland Tourism Partnership, and Business Link. The research process aimed to: identify the issues and opportunities; set a baseline in terms of current economic value; consider how to unlock future potential; and to quantify future growth. The consultancy team utilised a methodology for the study which included: site visits; business research; consultations; market fit analysis, etc.
