TRC Making Waves and Making Headlines - Thursday, May 27, 2010

The Scottish Boating Alliance today went to the Scottish Government to lobby ministers on the benefits of the recreational sailing sector armed, you guessed it, with TRC's National Sailing Study.  The story, as published on the BBC website, can be accessed by clicking here.

 
TRC's National Sailing Study Now Available - Wednesday, May 26, 2010

During the summer months of 2009, TRC conducted a complex audit of Scotland's recreational marina berths and moorings.  The study analysed the current economic impact that this vital sector contributes to the economy whilst also forecasting demand in the future. 

The study benefitted from a large number of completed questionnaires from members of the sailing sector and we would like to thank all those who contributed.

Whitbread's Hotel and Restaurant at Lomondgate - Thursday, May 06, 2010

TRC, in June 2009, were asked to prepare a report on the Lomondgate market opportunity for a hotel and restaurant development.  In today's press, work has begun on this site and we wish all involved great success for the future. 

 
Glenbervie House Hotel, Falkirk - Tuesday, May 04, 2010

In February 2008, TRC undertook a preliminary market appraisal for the Glenbervie House Hotel development in Falkirk.  This multi-million pound project has recently been given the go ahead with full permission for the work to proceed.

Culture Flows in Perm, Russia - At Last - Wednesday, April 14, 2010

Today's issue of the Financial Times includes a special report pull-out on Russia.  Page 4 in particular looks at the role that culture can play in diversifying a destination.  In the 1990's, TRC Director Sandy Steven was interviewed on State television in Russia having given a series of talks outlining the emergence of the City of Glasgow on the international culture scene; Glasgow having successfully shed its previous industrious image of past generations.

It is great to see this message coming through and that Glasgow is being used as an exemplar of best practice, if not a little later than expected!

 
Cruise Passenger Growth - Thursday, March 18, 2010

TRC completed work for Greenock Ocean Terminal in 2009.  Recently published figures for the cruise market suggest that our growth projections were accurate and may possibly be exceeded.  For the articel click here

Leith Docks Hotel Site Marketing - Monday, March 15, 2010

In May 2008, TRC worked with Forth Ports development team to identify viable accommodation sector developments for their major regeneration proposals at Leith Docks / Waterfront in Edinburgh.
